Charlie is a 10 year old 17.3h Registered ( JP Trip)Thoroughbred gelding. Charlie is in good health but he does have a “parrot” mouth (an overbite) which does not effect him. He needs to have his grain soaked and he has to be on good quality hay or long grass as he cant eat short grass. Due to growing too quickly when he was younger, he has arthritis in his hocks. He also has a knee injury that requires a yearly Cortisone shot.
Charlie has no vices and has a very unique personality; he loves attention! When you call his name he comes running! Very easy to deal with. Charlie is sensitive but a joy to be around.
Charlie did train to race but his legs were just too long and he could not get coordinated! He has been ridden in the past. Due to the arthritis and the knee injury Charlie is best suited to be at a companion home.
There is no fee for Charlie, in the adoption there would be a condition that this horse cannot be sold. If the person to adopt Charlie could no longer keep him, Charlie would be returned to his previous home.
Charlie is Free to approved home. His owner would appreciate a donation to HCW Equine Rescue.
Charlie is located in Barrie, Ontario
